The Sheboygan A’s rode two strong pitching performances to a doubleheader sweep of the Janesville Aces Saturday at Wildwood Baseball Park.

Gabe Marshall threw a six-hitter in the opener, a 7-2 win, before Ryan Schmitz threw a one-hitter and struck out 13 in a 7-0 victory in the nightcap.

Sheboygan improved to 28-16 overall and 14-15 in the Wisconsin State League.

In the first game, Nohl Depies was 2-for-4 with three runs batted in and Kreston Albright also had two hits. Sheboygan scored three runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth.

In the second game, Sheboygan scored all it needed in the second inning, with three runs, two of which came on Matt Schilter’s two-run double.
