Non-League News: Giants Win, Taschner Pitches An Inning

Former Pittsburgh Pirate Jack Taschner came in to pitch a scoreless ninth inning for the Giants and recorded a strikeout in a 7-2 victory on Wednesday.

The Oshkosh Giants bested the Appleton Legends, 7-2, Wednesday night at E.J. Schneider Field behind the big bat of Blake Berger.

Berger knocked home run over the centerfield wall in the bottom of the first inning to score three runs, and then hit a solo shot in the third inning.

Kyle Kannenberg picked up the win on the mound, throwing eight strong innings and fanning eight.
