MANITOWOC — The Manitowoc Bandits were shut out on Military Appreciation Day at Municipal Field on Saturday.

Wisconsin State League leader Kenosha allowed just eight combined Bandit hits and no runs in its 11-0, 5-0 doubleheader sweep of Manitowoc.

Kings pitcher Randy Johnson threw the complete game four-hitter in the first game to blank the Bandits (8-8, 4-5 WSL), while his offense came through with nine runs in the final four innings. Billy Johnson hit a two-run home run for the first inning to give the Kings (7-1 WSL) a permanent lead.

The Bandits had similar luck at the plate in the second game. Kings pitcher Andrew Paulauskas had a no-hitter going into the fifth inning before Josh Krowiorz broke it up with a single.

Jason Acevedo got the best of the Bandits pitching by hitting a two-run home run in the second inning and a solo shot in the fourth. Bill Johnson hit another two-run home run in the second game as well.
