Non-League News: Sheboygan A’s Fall

The Menasha Macs scored three runs in the seventh inning and went on to defeat the Sheboygan A's 5-1 Thursday at Wildwood Baseball Park.

Menasha scored three runs in the seventh inning and went on to defeat the Sheboygan A’s 5-1 Thursday at Wildwood Baseball Park.

The Sheboygan loss wasted a fine pitching performance by Eric Van Beck, who threw six innings, allowed one earned run on three hits, struck out three and walked four.

Jack Archie relieved for the A’s and allowed four earned runs on seven hits in three innings, struck out two and didn’t walk a batter.

Jason Wierschke got the win for the Macs. He allowed one earned run on six hits, struck out five and walked three in nine innings.

First baseman Gabe Marshall led the A’s at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.

For Menasha, Ryan Hinske went 3-for-5 with two RBI and Mac Shumann went 2-for-4.
