Four WSL Teams Participate in All-Star Game

The Sheboygan A's hosted the Northeastern Wisconsin League/Frank Langsdorf League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, held Friday night at Wildwood Park.
The Sheboygan A’s hosted the Northeastern Wisconsin League/Frank Langsdorf League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, held Friday night at Wildwood Park.
The Northeastern Wisconsin League, which featured three Wisconsin State League Teams (Manitowoc Bandits, Oshkosh Giants, Sheboygan A’s) defeated the Langsdorf League, which features the Kenosha Kings of the Wisconsin State League, 4-1.
Sheboygan A’s slugger Cody Marshall won the Home Run Derby by hitting nine homers in the final round.
The All-Star Game, featuring the top players from the two leagues, featured five Sheboygan players, including Eric Van Beck who started the game for the NEW. Other players from WSL teams included Brandon Bartels , Galen Duff, Brennan Rohode, and Brock Wetekamp from the Manitowoc Bandits, Travis Deroche, and Kyle Kannenberg from the Oshkosh Giants, Doug Dekonng, Kyle Edlhuber, Ryan Schilter, and Taylor Schwarz from the Sheboygan A’s, and Joe Ferro, John Hasser, and Chris Wolcott from the Kenosha Kings.
