On the strength of a game two home run from outfielder Ty Fadness, the Eau Claire Cavaliers picked up two more wins Sunday to sweep their four-game weekend series with the Manitowoc Bandits.
On the strength of a game two home run from outfielder Ty Fadness, the Eau Claire Cavaliers picked up two more wins Sunday to sweep their four-game weekend series with the Manitowoc Bandits. The Cavaliers won game one, 4-0, before taking game two, 3-2.
In game one, the Cavs scored three times in the first inning to back a complete-game shutout from starting pitcher Cale Tassi. Game two saw the Bandits grab a 1-0 lead on a second inning RBI single from Brandon Bartels. Manitowoc would lead into the seventh inning before Fadness’ home run gave Eau Claire the win.
Eau Claire is now 28-12 overall, and is 18-9 in the Wisconsin State League. The Cavaliers will host the Marshfield Chapparals on Monday, July 26th at 7:30 p.m.
