The Wisconsin State League has released it's schedule for the 2011 season.
The Wisconsin State League has released it’s schedule for the 2011 season.
New to this year, is the addition of an All-Star game, featuring the Wisconsin State League all-stars versus the all-stars of the Chicago Suburban Baseball League. The all-star game replaces “the Challenge”, which has been a regular of the two league’s schedules over the past four seasons. The two leagues split the overall challenge, with the Wisconsin State League winning the first two challenge’s, and the Chicago Suburban Baseball League won the last two. The Challenge featured teams from each league competing against each other based on the past season’s standings.
The Lombard Orioles and Addison Braves, who compete in both the Wisconsin State League, and Chicago Suburban Baseball League, will represent the Wisconsin State League in the all-star game.
The all-star game will be held at Simmons Field in Kenosha, WI, on July 6, 2009.
Each team will play four games against each of the other teams in the league, making for a 24-game schedule for each team.
League play starts on May 29th at 1:00 p.m. when the Addison Braves visit the Kenosha Kings for a double header.
