The Eau Claire Cavaliers split a doubleheader with the Kenosha Kings Sunday, losing game one 3-1 before coming back to win game two, 3-1.
The Eau Claire Cavaliers split a doubleheader with the Kenosha Kings Sunday, losing game one 3-1 before coming back to win game two, 3-1.
Mike Darley scored Eau Claire’s only run in game one, coming home on a fielder’s choice groundout in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1.
The Kings took the lead for good in the third inning on a RBI double by Jason Acevedo that gave Kenosha a 2-1 lead.
With the split, the Cavaliers won three out of four games in their weekend series with Kenosha.
Eau Claire improved to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the Wisconsin State League with the victories.
