All-Star Game in Kenosha Wednesday Night

WSL-CSL Stars collide in premier all-star clash.
The top players from two of the top semi-pro baseball leagues in the midwest will compete in the WSL-CSL All-Star Game Wednesday night, July 6 at Kenosha’s Simmons Field.
The All-Stars from the Chicago Suburban League and the Wisconsin State League will square off at 7:30 p.m.
The following players have been selected to compete for the Wisconsin State League.
Addison Braves: Ismaiel DeLaCruz C, Ricky DeLaCruz IF, Andrew Edwards P-OF, Mike Marren P, Will Schinagl 1B.
Eau Claire Cavaliers: Mike Darley OF. Nolan Fadness OF-IF, Matt Miller 2B, Brady Sand P, Cale Tassi P.
Kenosha Kings: Jason Acevedo DH, Jason Bunton P, Mark Cibrario 3B, Jason Dennis OF, Joe Ferro SS, John Hasser 1B-OF. Billy Johnson C, Randy Johnson P, John Olson P, Andrew Paulauskas P, Paul Pulera OF.
Lombard Orioles: David Compitello IF, Matt Erickson P, Ryan Faidley OF, James Vasquez IF.
Manitowoc Bandits: Brandin Chinn 1B, Tommy Kawamura SS, Liam O’Brien P, Brennen Rhode P, Max Stepan C.
Oshkosh Giants: Blake Berger IF-OF, Tyler Kamps IF, Luke Westphal P.
Sheboygan A’s: Phil Kramsky C, Tim Patzman OF, Derek Peake OF, Ryan Solberg 1B, Eric Van Beck P.
The Wisconsin State League Club will be managed by Jeff Vukovich, skipper of the league’s defending champion Lombard Orioles.
The State League last fielded an all-star team in 1984 and 1985. Both years they played the Northwest Suburban League All-Stars.
The first game was played at Triton Junior College and was won by the WSL, 9-8. Tim Eichorst of Madison and Steve Rothenbach of Oshkosh each drove in two runs in that game.
The game was played in Sheboygan in 1985. Terry Jorgenson of Oshkosh hit a walk-off grand slam home run in that game give the WSL team a 6-3 win. Sheboygan’s Gene Mand homered earlier in the game.
For the first time in more than 25 years, the Wiscosnin State Baseball League will compete in an All-Star Game.
The Wisconsin State League is one of the premier semi-professional/amateur baseball leagues in the mid-west.
