Eau Claire Cavaliers honored with post-season awards

Several Eau Claire Cavaliers were honored in the Wisconsin State League including Nolan Fadness who was named the league's Most Valuable Player.

The Eau Claire Cavaliers were well represented on the first team after finishing one game behind League Champion Lombard Illinois Orioles.

Nolan Fadness League MVP and League Batting Champion Batting .438 leading the league in hits with 32 and also led the league in steals with 32 was selected as the shortstop. He also had a league record with 7 steals in one game.

Will Fadness was selected as the DH and Brady Sand as the Right Handed Pitcher and Jake Peterson as the Left Handed Pitcher. Matt Miller was selected to the second team as a second baseman. Brady Sand finished second to Randy Johnson for Pitcher of the year receiving 10 votes to Randy Johnson’s 13.

Jeff Vukovich skipper of Lombard was the Manger of the year with 12 points and Mark McHorney of the Cavaliers and Nat Richter of Manitowoc tied for second with 10 points. For Vukovich it was the 5th straight year as manager of the year and ninth time in his career.

Nolan Fadness Eau Claire, Manitowoc Catcher Max Stephan and Eau Claire designated hitter Will Fadness were unanimous all league selections.
