The Manitowoc Bandits blasted the Sheboygan A's on Thursday night at Municipal Field by a score of 12-2 in eight innings.

The Manitowoc Bandits blasted the Sheboygan A’s on Thursday night at Municipal Field by a score of 12-2 in eight innings.

The Bandits, who started the season off a bit rocky, have now won two games in a row, bringing the Northeast Wisconsin Baseball League record to .500 at 3-for-3.

Matt Roberts tossed the whole game, picking up nine strikeouts and the win. He gave up one earned run.

Offensively, Alex Larsen led the charge going 3-for-5 with 2 runs and 8 RBIs, including a 7th inning grand slam to right center field. Brad Breier was also 3-for-5 while Andrew Doring, Thomas Wakem and Evan Ruechel recorded a pair of hits. Andrew Wilson and Breier each scored three times. Mitch Gardner took the loss for the A’s.

The Bandits now travel to the Chicagoland area to take on the Lombard Orioles in a Saturday doubleheader and the Addison Braves in a Sunday doubleheader.
