The Sheboygan A’s wrapped up a perfect 4-0 weekend with a doubleheader sweep of the Addison Braves at home Sunday.
The A’s, now 24-18 overall and 6-13 in the Wisconsin State League, have won five of six.
In Game 1, Addison scored twice in the top of the first inning, but the A’s responded with a two-run triple by Chad Langley and an RBI-single by Taylor Schwarz in the bottom half to take the lead. Tim Patzman added an insurance run later with a solo home run.
Ryan DeRosa got the win in relief, tossing five shutout inning.
Pitcher Mitchell Gardner was the story in Game 2 — a 5-1 victory — throwing a two-hit complete game to pick up the win. Gardner struck out three and walked three.
Sheboygan pushed across a run in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Harry Steldt, added another in the second on an RBI-single from Sam Raff and tacked on three more in the fifth.
The A’s play at Menasha tonight and at Manitowoc on Tuesday before returning home to host Appleton on Wednesday.
