Orioles clinch title for 9th straight season

The Lombard Orioles clinched the Wisconsin State League title on Tuesday night after sweeping the Addison Braves in a doubleheader.
The Lombard Orioles are used to being crowned champions.
It was no different on Tuesday night, when the Orioles wrapped up their 9th straight Wisconsin State League title after sweeping the Addison Braves by scores of 5-3 and 11-1.
The Orioles have won the title outright every season since 2007, and have won at least a share of the title since 2004.
The Orioles currently have a 20-2 record in Wisconsin State League play. There are two games left for the Orioles versus the Oshkosh Giants, which have not be rescheduled as of yet from a rain out on July 1. It is unclear if the games will be made up at this time.
The Braves meanwhile finish their league schedule with a 6-18 mark, guaranteeing them a spot at the bottom of the standings.
