Cavaliers split games with Lombard

The Eau Claire Cavaliers doubleheader Saturday with the Lombard Orioles. Eau Claire lost the first contest 2-1 and won the second 6-5.

The Eau Claire Cavaliers improved to 7-2 as they split their doubleheader Saturday with Lombard. Eau Claire lost the first contest 2-1 and won the second 6-5.

Each game went to eight innings.

Brian Burman went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in the second game for the Cavaliers. Eau Claire scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to secure the win.

JT Yocum tossed the eighth inning for the Cavs in the second game. He gave up just one run on one hit and added a strikeout.
