A’s split DH with Eau Claire

The Eau Claire Cavaliers and Sheboygan A's split a doubleheader on Saturday at Wildwood Baseball Park in Sheboygan.
Scoreless after seven innings, the Sheboygan A’s surrendered a two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning and couldn’t score in the bottom half to fall 2-0 to the visiting Eau Claire Cavaliers in Game 1 of a home doubleheader on Saturday.
Brian Burman hit the home run to hand Trevor Nicholson the loss for the A’s.
Davis Lenzen allowed only three hits in earning the win for Eau Claire in the Wisconsin State League contest.
In Game 2, Sheboygan held off Eau Claire for a 5-4 win.
Taylor Schwartz threw a complete-game, six-hitter for the A’s to earn the win.
The A’s led 5-0 but allowed four runs in the final two innings. Schwartz struck out the final two batters to preserve the win.
The A’s will host Eau Claire again today in a doubleheader with Game 1 starting at 1 p.m. and Game 2 at 3:30 p.m.
