Taylor Schwarz pitched nine strikeouts and faced down 21 batters — the fewest possible — to register just the 10th no-hitter in Sheboygan A’s history in a 2-0 win Saturday afternoon against the Addison Braves.

Harry Steldt scored both A’s runs and Cole Heili backed him up on offense with a pair of hits. Sheboygan managed five hits — just enough offense to secure the shutout.

“He threw the ball very, very well,” A’s general manager Denny Moyer said of Schwarz. “He had a lot of pitches going.”

Results from Game 2 of Saturday’s doubleheader between the A’s and the Braves weren’t available by the Sheboygan Press’ deadline.
