The Kenosha Kings couldn’t get the bats going Saturday, totaling 11 hits in a Wisconsin State League doubleheader sweep by the Lombard (Ill.) Orioles at Simmons Field.

The Orioles won the first game, 16-6, before scoring two runs late to win the second game, 5-3. Both games were seven innings.

Starting pitcher Travis Vanderwall had a no-decision, allowing three earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and two walks in five innings.

Paul Pulera had an RBI double, and Joe Balistreri drove in a run.

In the first game, the Kings scored five runs in the fifth after the Orioles had already built a large lead.
