Wisconsin State League

Sheboygan A’s 11, Kenosha Kings 1

The A’s welcomed the Kenosha Kings to Wildwood
Baseball Park Wednesday night for a Wisconsin State League
contest. Taylor Schwarz’ prolific performance on the mound and Dylan Detert’s
big night at the plate led the A’s past Kenosha, beating them 11-1 in seven
innings.

The A’s pounded out 16 hits, Detert had four, including a
long home run that soared over the left field fence. Detert finished the night
a double shy of the cycle and recorded three RBI and scored four runs.

Kenosha got on the board first but back-to-back RBI singles
by Taylor Grimm and Blake Fleischman gave the A’s a 2-1 lead after 3 complete.

From then on, it was all Sheboygan as they dismantled the
Kings pitching, plating 11 runs on 16 hits.

Schwarz was excellent, going the distance allowing only one
run off five hits.

Taylor Grimm added two hits and three RBI.

Cole Miklavcic had two hits, two runs scored and a stolen
base.

The A’s improve to 27-15 overall and 17-8 Wisconsin State League.

The Oshkosh Giants were shutout at home Wednesday night, losing 4-0 to the league-leading Menasha Macs of the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League.

Macs’ Aaron Langdon carried a perfect game into the eighth inning but was broken up by a Drew Connors single.
