WSL Saturday Recap: Early Lead Not Enough for Nationals, Drop 5-3 Decision to A’s

The West Allis Nationals jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to Sheboygan A's on Friday.

The West Allis Nationals jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to Sheboygan A’s on Friday.

While the Nationals led until the seventh inning, the A’s worked their way back and took the lead when Harry Steldt was hit by a pitch.

Taylor Grimm racked up two RBIs on one hit for A’s. He doubled in the fifth inning.

The jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. A single by Will Johnson, plating Jonah Meidl-Zahorodny and Matt Richer started the inning off.

Sheboygan didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the seventh inning when it scored two bases loaded hit-by-pitches.
