WSL Tuesday Recap: Dodgers Get Win in Sheboygan

Doug Coe went 4-for-5 with five RBI, including a three-run home run, to lead the Dodgers to the win on Tuesday.

Doug Coe went 4-for-5 with five RBI, including a three-run home run, to lead the Dodgers to the win on Tuesday.

De Pere (12-14) totaled 15 hits, getting four from Coe and Sam Kohnle, who hit a triple and two RBI. Noah Robinson and Austen Dart both added two hits, while Brendan Meissner had a two-run double.

Meissner picked up the win, pitching three scoreless innings of relief after the A’s tied the game in the sixth inning.

Jack Collins started the game and pitched five innings before Tyler Nehring took the mound for one frame. The two combined to allowed five earned runs, as the Dodgers committed six errors in the game.

Homestead Ranchers 7, Lombard Orioles 4

Shawn Dunn knocked in three runs, but the Lombard Orioles still fell to Homestead Ranchers 7-4 on Tuesday at Madison Meadow Park, Lombard, IL.

Quincy Jones pitched lights out for the Orioles. Jones gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Brandon Nowak ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked four and struck out six.

After pushing across three runs in the top of the seventh, the Lombard Orioles faced just a 7-4 deficit. A three-run double by Dunn set off the Orioles rally. However that’s as close as Lombard would get before dropping the game.
