Nationals Take Game One of WSL Invitational Tournament

Curt Pryal allowed only one run over five innings while striking out three, walking no one and only surrendering four hits as the West Allis Nationals went on to a 4-1 victory over the Kenosha Kings in game one of the Wisconsin State League Invitational Tournament.

Curt Pryal allowed only one run over five innings while striking out three, walking no one and only surrendering four hits as the West Allis Nationals went on to a 4-1 victory over the Kenosha Kings in game one of the Wisconsin State League Invitational Tournament.

Aaron Woods , who came on in relief of Pryal, was in control on the mound as well, keeping the Kings hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

David Keaton was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.

The West Allis Nationals pushed one run across in the fourth inning to start the scoring, scoring on an RBI single by Brian Huntzinger.

In the fifth inning, Kenosha Kings pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Michael Szeszol.

The West Allis Nationals stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Aaron Goecks.
