Weekend Notes

  • The Lombard Orioles year in and year out are one of the best teams in the mid-west. This year, they seem to be taking it to another level. In addition to being a perfect 17-0 in the WSL, the Orioles are also 12-0 in the Chicago Suburban Baseball League.
  • The Kenosha Kings jumped from fifth to second in the standings with four wins this weekend, including one that was a resumed game against De Pere.
  • The Oshkosh Giants struggled mightily this weekend, giving up 69 runs while only producing 8.
  • The Sheboygan A’s also struggled this weekend. After defeating Oshkosh on Friday, the A’s lost to Lombard, Addison and Kenosha to close out the weekend, and now find themselves in sixth place and 1.5 games behind second place.
