West Allis Nationals (7), @kenoshakings (6, 12 innings)
West Allis remained unbeaten in Wisconsin State League play, improving to 3-0 with a dramatic 7-6 walk-off victory over Kenosha in 12 innings. The Kings jumped out to a 5-0 lead through three innings, scoring four times in the first behind RBI hits from Ryne Lesnik and Jared Bujdos while also capitalizing on a passed ball, wild pitch, and error, then added another run in the third when Aaron Hurd stole home. West Allis chipped away with a run in the second and another in the fourth before erupting for five runs in the seventh. Kaleb Zabielski delivered a two-run single, Nick Argersinger drove in a run on a fielder’s choice, and a wild pitch allowed the Nationals to take a 6-5 lead. Kenosha answered in the eighth when Harrison Garrett singled home the tying run, sending the game into extra innings. The contest remained deadlocked as Santino Pignotti-Wojtak dominated in relief, striking out 13 over 4.1 innings while holding the Kings scoreless from the ninth through the 12th. In the bottom of the 12th, Max Montgomery opened with a double and advanced to third on a bunt single by Argersinger before Andrew Carlson’s sacrifice fly was misplayed by right fielder Aaron Hurd, allowing Montgomery to score the winning run. Zabielski finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs for West Allis, while Lesnik collected three hits and Bujdos added two hits and two RBIs for Kenosha. The Nationals improved to 3-0 in WSL play, while the Kings fell to 2-1.
