Six teams were in action on Saturday in the Wisconsin State League.
Eau Claire Cavaliers vs. Kenosha Kings
The Eau Claire Cavaliers split a Wisconsin State Baseball League doubleheader with Kenosha Saturday night, losing game one, 5-0, before winning game two, 9-4.
Eau Claire and Kenosha will play another doubleheader on Sunday. The first game is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
Sheboygan A’s vs. Addison Braves
The Sheboygan A’s won their Wisconsin State League opener with a 13-3 decision over host Addison (Ill.) in five innings in the first game of a planned doubleheader on Saturday.
Doug Dekoning, who started in center field for UW-Milwaukee’s NCAA tournament team, ripped three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs.
Sheboygan’s Jared Fon went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs, while Kyle Edlhuber was 3-for-4, including a double, and drove in three runs.
The winning pitcher was Jack Archie, who went innings, gave up five hits, three earned runs, walked four and struck out two.
Manitowoc Bandits vs. Lombard Orioles
