Manitowoc Bandits walk all over Oshkosh Giants in extra innings for Wisconsin State League win

MANITOWOC — Sam Spurney drew a bases-loaded walk in the 10th inning on Wednesday night to give the Manitowoc Bandits a 6-5 extra innings win over Wisconsin State League foe Oshkosh at Municipal Field.

Derek Layton came on for the Giants in the 10th and issued three walks, a hit and a strikeout to lose the game. Matt Phipps came on in the ninth and earned the win for Manitowoc.

Oshkosh took a 5-2 lead after a five-run fifth inning that included a grand slam.

Brock Wetenkamp led the Manitowoc bats, going 3-for-5 with a RBI-double in the second inning.

Addison Braves vs. Lombard Orioles

The Lombard Orioles rolled over their Wisconsin State League and Chicago Suburban League rivals Wednesday night.

Lombard defeated the Braves by a final score of 9-0.
