CSBL Wins The 2010 Challenge

In their fourth annual challenge, the Chicago Suburban Baseball League defeated the Wisconsin State League 11-10.

In their fourth annual challenge, the Chicago Suburban Baseball League defeated the Wisconsin State League 11-10. 

After falling behind on Saturday, by a score of 5-4, the CSBL roared back on Sunday, led by double-header sweeps by Vee Pak and Beecher. 

On Saturday, nine games were completed while five were rained out. The day ended with a score of CSBL 4 and the WSL 5. 

On Sunday, eleven games were played, one rained out (Osh Kosh vs Crystal Lake), and two are yet to be played.  

Weekend Notes:
 – The Beecher Muskies split with the Lombard Orioles on Saturday. That was the first Challenge loss in four years for the Orioles

 – The Crystal Lake Cardinals traveled to Oshkosh for a four game series, but three games were rained out.

 – The Beecher Muskies knocked Kenosha out of first place in the WSL. The Lombard Orioles now sit in first place in both leagues.

 – Seven rain outs total for the weekend.
