Oshkosh North graduate Josh Uhen handcuffed Oshkosh Giants’ hitters in his first start for the Sheboygan A’s, leading the A’s to a seven-inning 13-0 win at E.J. Schneider Field on Thursday night.
Uhen struck out ten over six innings, walking four and allowing just four hits in the combined shutout.
“He was pretty relentless on the mound,” Giants coach Brad Demmin said.
The game marked the end of the season for the Giants who finished off a less than stellar season.
“(The season) was a little disappointing,” Demmin said. “But when it came down to it everyone improved.”
Ryan and Matt Schilter each had three hits for the winners.
Sheboygan (27-22 overall) is scheduled to play De Pere tonight in the regular-season finale. The doubleheader will begin at 7 at Wildwood Baseball Park.
