Eau Claire (WQOW) — The Eau Claire Cavaliers announce the signing of Mickey Fadness Wednesday, making him the fourth Fadness brother on the roster.

It is the first time all the brothers are on the same team at the same time in their baseball careers. Mickey, Ty, Nolan and Will all played for Eau Claire Memorial. The brothers say it’s exciting to play all together for the first time.

“It’s the culmination of a lot of baseball playing with those guys. And it’s very gratifying to all be on the same field at once, it’s a long time coming,” says Ty Fadness.

Nolan Fadness says once he, Will and Ty signed up for the season, coach Mark McHorney was more than willing to reach out and bring in Mickey.

“It’s pretty cool that Coach McHorney would allow it to happen and I think we even tried getting our dad out here but figured his knees wouldn’t hold up,” adds Nolan.

Mickey says the opportunity to play with his younger brothers was too good to pass up.

“I haven’t played with my brothers ever, except in the backyard, so this is just one of the best opportunities I’ve ever had in my life to come out here where I grew up and have a good time with these guys and to be able to go home and talk about it for years to come. It’s pretty cool,” says Mickey.

All four Fadness brothers were in the lineup for the Cavaliers game on Wednesday.
