The Oshkosh Giants dropped a pair of one-run games to the Kenosha Kings on Saturday as they slipped to 3-8 in the Wisconsin State League.

Kenosha won the first game of the doubleheader, 6-5, before taking the second game 1-0.

The Giants scored five runs in the second inning of the opener to take the lead. Oshkosh batted around in the outburst, which was highlighted by Brock Guetzke’s two-run double.

Kenosha finally got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth inning, putting up five runs of its own to tie the game. The Kings then scored in the bottom of the seventh to cap the comeback.

Guetzke finished 3-for-4 for Oshkosh, while Bobby Kachel chipped in two hits.

In the nightcap, the Kings scored an unearned run in the first inning and made it stand up the rest of the way to complete the sweep.

Luke Westphal struck out 12 and allowed just two hits, but was saddled with the loss. The Giants managed only four hits off Kenosha starter Mario Perez.

The Giants will be back in action on Tuesday at the Menasha Macs.
