Kings’ Johnson honored by league

Randy Johnson of the Kenosha Kings was voted the Wisconsin State League Pitcher of the Year, the league announced this week.

Randy Johnson of the Kenosha Kings was voted the Wisconsin State League Pitcher of the Year, the league announced this week.

The right-hander, the league’s earned run average leader, received 13 points, three more than the runnerup. The Tremper graduate was 3-3 with a 1.71 ERA last season.

The Kings’ Mark Cibrario (third base) and Paul Pulera (outfield) were named first-team All-Wisconsin State League.

Awards will be presented at the league Awards and Hall of Fame dinner on Jan. 28, at the Heritage House in Sheboygan Falls.
