The Oshkosh Giants scored four runs in the first two innings and held on for a win in the nightcap to earn a split with the Addison Braves in a Wisconsin State League doubleheader at E.J. Schneider Field on Saturday.

Addison won the opener, 7-2, before the Giants came back to take the second game, 4-1.

Trey Demler’s sacrifice fly scored Luke Gajewski in the first inning of the second game to stake the Giants to the lead.

Gajewski, who drove in four runs in the two games, keyed a three-run second inning with a two-out, two-run single that put Oshkosh ahead 4-0.

Addison would get a run back in the third inning, but that was all as Travis Sindles and Tyler Willman combined on a seven-hitter.

Sindles got the win with three strikeouts in four innings of work, while Willman worked the final three innings, fanning four, to earn the save.

Addison used a big seventh inning to win the opener, scoring six runs to break a 1-1 tie.

Gajewski’s two-out single in the fifth scored Nate Schmidt to tie the game at one.

The two teams will finish off their weekend series today with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at E.J. Schneider Field.
