A pair of big fifth innings propelled the Eau Claire Cavaliers to a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Sheboygan A's Saturday.

A pair of big fifth innings propelled the Eau Claire Cavaliers to a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Sheboygan A’s Saturday.

In the opener, the Cavs scored four runs in the fifth to break open a 3-2 game and roll to a 7-2 win.

The A’s managed just three hits while committing five errors in the field. Cody Griebling took the loss for Sheboygan.

In the nightcap, Eau Claire posted a five-spot in the fifth as the Cavs won easily again, 9-2.

Dillion Engle took the loss, walking seven batters. Harry Steldt drove in both of the A’s run in the first inning with a two-run double.

The A’s play another doubleheader at Eau Claire today and then host Manitowoc on Bud Light Night on Monday.
