The Oshkosh Giants couldn’t get the bats going and fell to the Manitowoc Bandits 7-1 on Tuesday night at E.J. Schneider Field.

The Bandits blew the game open in the middle frames, scoring six runs between the fourth and sixth innings.

Meanwhile, the Giants could only muster four hits and scrapped in one final run in the ninth inning that was too little, too late.

Neil Hebert and Michael Polcyn each tallied extra base hits in the loss, with Hebert hitting a double and driving in the Giants’ only run and Polcyn hitting a triple.

In Monday’s game against the Menasha Macs, the Giants faired much better, getting a complete game three-hitter from Joe Pavlovich to grab the win.

Pavlovich allowed only one run in the second inning to the Macs then shut them down, striking out 12 Menasha batters on the night.

Bobby Kachel provided the offense, going 3-for-5 with a double and a home run for the Giants. Polcyn and Zac Peterson each tallied a pair of hits as well for Oshkosh.
