The Oshkosh Giants of the Wisconsin State League and the Northeastern Wisconsin League announced their 2012 team award winners at their end of the year banquet at The Glass Nickel Pizza Company recently.

The winners were:
MVP – Michael Polcyn and Bobby Kachel
Most Valuable Pitcher – Tyler Willman and Joe Pavlovich
Rookie of the Year – Neil Herbert
David Tyriver Award – Luke Gajewski
30 Years of Service Award – Marty Marcellis

The Giants finished the season 9-11 in the Wisconsin State League, good for a fourth place finish in the league’s standings. The Giants did not play four of their league games due to weather. The games were not made up because they would not have impacted the league’s final standings. The Giants also finished first in the regular season standings in the Northeastern Wisconsin League, but got swept in the league’s semi-final playoffs.
