Cavaliers help raise $5,000 for charity

Thursday night's cool temps didn't stop 500 people from coming out to Gelein Field in Carson Park for the WEAU charity softball game versus the Eau Claire Cavaliers.
(WEAU) – Thursday night’s cool temps didn’t stop 500 people from coming out to Gelein Field in Carson Park for the WEAU Charity Softball Game. Team WEAU was able to keep their win streak going, defeating the Eau Claire Cavaliers 23 to 22 (with the help of some suspect defense from the Cavs).
Of course Thursday night’s real winners were the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre and the Fostering the Future Fund. We were able to raise around five-thousand dollars for the two causes.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who came out to support the WEAU team!
