The Kenosha Kings scratched out enough runs Tuesday to beat host Genoa City 5-2 in a Langsdorf League game that was stopped in the seventh inning due to rain.

The Kenosha Kings scratched out enough runs Tuesday to beat host Genoa City 5-2 in a Langsdorf League game that was stopped in the seventh inning due to rain.

The Kings (3-2, 1-0 LL) scored runs on a double play, bases-loaded walk by Billy Johnson, a sacrifice fly by Travis Vanderwal, a fielder’s choice ground out by Jason Dennis and a suicide squeeze from Derrick Idstein.

Jason Bunton did the rest, allowing two runs on eight hits with no walks and three strikeouts in six innings.

The Kings play four games over the weekend at Simmons Field. On Saturday, the Kings host Oshkosh in a Wisconsin State League doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the Kings host the Addison (Ill.) Braves in a WSL twinbill beginning at 5 p.m.
