The Kenosha Kings swept a Wisconsin State League doubleheader for the second time in as many days in similar fashion on Sunday night at Simmons Field.

The Kings (7-2, 6-0 WSL) beat the Addison Braves 6-2 in seven innings and 10-0 in five innings. On Saturday afternoon, the Kings swept the Oshkosh Giants 7-2 in seven innings and 16-1 in five innings.

“That’s been kind of our theme so far,” Kings assistant manager Kyle Stone said. “One game, we play fundamental small-ball and the second game we get the bats going.”

In the opener, Jon Olson allowed two runs on six hits in six innings for the victory. He walked two and struck out two. Brandon Jeffery pitched a scoreless seventh.

The Kenosha offense mustered only four hits in the game. Joe Ferro drove in two runs and Mark Cibrario also had an RBI.

There were plenty of offensive stars in the nightcap as Paul Pulera went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored to lead the way. Other contributors were Ferro (2-for-3, double, two runs), Joe Balestreri (2-for-2, double, RBI, two runs), Derek Idstein (2-for-4, RBI) and Tyler Eickmeyer (double, two RBI).

John Snelten pitched a three-hit complete game with two walks and six strikeouts.

The Kings next play the Burlington Barons in a Langsdorf League game 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Beaumont Field.
