Giants swept in twinbill by Kings

The Oshkosh Giants dropped to 0-4 in Wisconsin State League play after being swept in a doubleheader by the Kenosha Kings on Sunday at E.J. Schneider Field.

The Oshkosh Giants dropped to 0-4 in Wisconsin State League play after being swept in a doubleheader by the Kenosha Kings on Sunday at E.J. Schneider Field.

The Kings beat the Giants, 8-2, in the first game and then dealt Oshkosh a 6-0 defeat in the second game.

Zac Peterson doubled in a run for the Giants in the third inning of the opener as Oshkosh cut Kenosha’s lead to 3-2.

But the Kings broke things open with a five-run fifth inning.

Kenosha used a pair of three-run innings to take the second game.

Oshkosh managed five hits in each of the games, with Tyler Willman taking the loss in the first game and Joe Pavlovich suffering the loss in the second game.

The Giants will hit the road starting Tuesday with games at Sheboygan, Manitowoc and Green Bay,
