Non-Leauge Roundup: Braves win; Giants, Orioles fall

The Addison Braves came away with a 11-1 victory Thursday night while the Oshkosh Giants and Lombard Orioles both fell.

The Green Bay Storm defeated the Oshkosh Giants 9-2 in a Northeast Wisconsin Baseball League game Thursday night at VandenPlas Field.

The Storm used a four-run fourth inning to bust open, highlighted by a two-run double by Doug Coe. Adam Enwiya went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Chad Ljunggren had two hits as well for Green Bay (2-4, 1-2 NEWBL).

Nick Schadrie picked up the win, scattering seven hits while striking out eight in a complete game effort.

The Lombard Orioles fell to the Oak Forest Shooters 3-2 Thursday night in a Chicago Suburban League game. The Orioles are now 5-2 in the CSBL and 4-1 in the WSL.

The Addison Braves defeated the Homestead Ranchers 11-1 in Homestead on Thursday night. A seven-run sixth inning helped propel the Braves to the victory.
