Lombard Sweeps A’s in DH

But it wasn’t enough offensive firepower to help Sheboygan stand up against Lombard, which swept the A’s in a doubleheader in Wisconsin State League action.
The Orioles pitched a no-hitter in Game 1 and cruised to a 4-0 win before holding on for a 3-1 decision in the nightcap.
The teams were tied at 1-1 in the fifth inning before Lombard scored a pair of runs to break the stalemate.
A busy week ahead
The Sheboygan A’s are looking down the barrel of an active, event-filled week.
Here’s a rundown of this week’s goings-on at Wildwood Baseball Park:
Tuesday: Craft Beer Night. 8th Street Ale Haus is expected to bring in several types of craft beer to sample and purchase.
The A’s host the Green Bay Storm in a game that starts at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday: Sheboygan Falls Night, and Sponsors and Friends Night. Sheboygan Falls residents can get coupons for $2 off an A’s ticket to Wednsday night’s game at various businesses throughout Sheboygan Falls. The night also honors the more than 300 community sponsors and individuals who financially support the team.
The A’s host the Kenosha Kings in a game that starts at 7:30 p.m.
Friday: Fish Fryday Night, and College Night. The team will give out gift certificates to area fish fries between each inning. College students who show their student IDs can get into the game for free.
The A’s host Northern Illinois in a game that starts at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday: Miesfeld’s Night, and Strike Out Cancer Night. Miesfeld’s Meat Market will give away prizes at the game. And exhibits and displays will create awareness, encourage hope and celebrate victory over cancer.
The A’s host Burlington in a doubleheader slated to start at 5 p.m.
Giants Sweep Braves Saturday
The Oshkosh Giants swept the Addison Braves on Saturday at E.J. Schneider Field. The Giants won game one 6-1 and game two 5-4 in extra innings.
