Orioles Capture 11th Straight WSL Championship

With wins over the weekend, the Lombard Orioles have claimed the 2014 Wisconsin State League Championship, their 11th in a row.
By earning a victory in their 4-game weekend series with the Eau Claire Cavaliers, the Lombard Orioles have captured their 11th straight Wisconsin State League championship. The Orioles have won the title outright every year since 2004 with the only exception being in 2006 when there was a 3-way tie between the Orioles, Cavaliers and Kenosha Kings.
The championship also marks the 18th time in the past 22 seasons the Orioles have had a least a tie for the championship.
The Wisconsin State League is one of the premier semi-professional/amateur baseball leagues in the mid-west.
