West Bend 7 Up 9, Oshkosh Giants 1
The Oshkosh Giants dropped a 9-1 Wisconsin State League game Wednesday night to West Bend in a game played at E.J. Schneider Field.
Oshkosh got off to the start it wanted, as Luke Gajewski led the game off with an infield single, stole second and third, then scored on a back end of a double steal to make it 1-0.
But that’s all the Giants would score as Oshkosh West grad Kam Koplitz shut them down out on the mound.
Sheboygan A’s 4, Appleton Legends 3
The Sheboygan A’s took advantage of an absolute gift from the Appleton Legends and some timely hitting to pull off a 4-3 comeback win at Wildwood Park on Wednesday.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Legends tried to execute a routine intentional walk, but the ball sailed wide, advancing the runners.
From there, Tony Grannis knocked a sacrifice fly to the outfield to plate Cole Miklavcic, the winning run.
The win kept the A’s perfect in the Northeastern Wisconsin League at 5-0.
