WSL Thursday Roundup: West Allis Holds Off A’s

West Allis plated three runs in the third inning to take the lead over Sheboygan, and the A’s weren’t able to make up any ground over the remaining innings, falling to the Wisconsin State League Northern Division-leading Nationals 5-3 Thursday.

West Allis plated three runs in the third inning to take the lead over Sheboygan, and the A’s weren’t able to make up any ground over the remaining innings, falling to the Wisconsin State League Northern Division-leading Nationals 5-3 Thursday.

West Allis improved to 4-1 in league play, while the A’s fell to 4-6.

Nate Heili collected two of Sheboygan’s seven hits and AJ Alessi picked up the loss for the A’s. Max Kramski came on in relief and pitched 5 2/3 innings without giving up a run.

Menasha Macs 7, Oshkosh Giants 2

The Oshkosh Giants baseball team had a 2-1 lead going into the fourth inning, but the Menasha Macs rallied for six runs to pick up a 7-2 Northeastern League win at home Thursday night.

Cody Davis had two hits to lead the Giants.

Oshkosh return to Wisconsin State League action Saturday, hosting the Kenosha Kings in a doubleheader starting at noon. They will then travel to face West Allis in a doubleheader on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m.
