Oshkosh Giants 9, West Bend 7 Up 7

In a back and forth affair, the Oshkosh Giants came out on top in a Wisconsin State League North Division matchup Wednesday night.

West Bend jumped out to a early two run lead, but the Giants tied it up in the fourth with a Paul Mutch three-run HR.

West Bend recaptured the lead 6-4 in the seventh, but the Giants scored two to tie it at 6-6 in their next at-bats. Both teams tacked on a few more runs, but it was the Giants who came away with the victory.

Davis Yach pitched seven innings for the Giants but left with a no decision. He was followed in relief by Drew Connors who picked up the win and Matt Sabel who picked up the save.

Sheboygan A’s 8, Kenosha Kings 0

The Sheboygan A’s benefited from another pitching gem Wednesday night as Derek Loomans shut out the Kenosha Kings, 8-0 in Wisconsin State League action.

Adam Ryan, Harry Steldt and Dylan Detert all had two hits.

Wild pitching between Detert’s game-openng base hit and Harry Steldt’s run-scoring base hit put the A’s ahead 1-zip in the opening inning and they were never looked back.

Detert drove in two runs with a clutch 5th-inning hit and Nate Heili and Adam Ryan RBI hits in the ninth finished off the Kings. Detert, Steldt and Ryan all had two hits.

Loomans struck out six and walked four in his 7-hitter to go 3-2 for the season.
