WSL Friday Recap: Winfield, Olson Lead As Past Giants

The Oshkosh Giants and Sheboygan A’s squared off in the opening game of the Wisconsin State League Challenge Friday night at Wildwood Baseball Park. The A’s offense produced 10 hits and Brandon Winfield was dominant on the mound in the 6-2 victory.

The Oshkosh Giants and Sheboygan A’s squared offin the opening game of the Wisconsin State League Challenge Friday night at
Wildwood Baseball Park. The A’s offense produced 10 hits and Brandon Winfield was
dominant on the mound in the 6-2 victory.

The A’s laced five straight singles in the 2nd
inning to take a 3-0 lead and Wyatt Olson provided some pop with a solo home
run in the 3rd to increase the A’s lead to 4.

Harry Steldt and Dan Barwick provided RBI hits late in the
game providing some insurance.

Winfield went the distance allowing two runs on eight hits,
picking up the win.
