Wednesday Recap: Berry’s Walkoff Walk Gives A’s Victory Over West Allis

The Sheboygan A's took Wednesday's extra-innings game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over the West Allis Nationals. With the victory, the A's move to 1-0 in the Wisconsin State League, while the Nationals fall to 1-2.

The Sheboygan A’s took Wednesday’s extra-innings game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over the West Allis Nationals. With the victory, the A’s move to 1-0 in the Wisconsin State League, while the Nationals fall to 1-2.

A back and forth affair, the game was tied at six with A’s batting in the bottom of the eleventh when Kanyon Fellers walked Hunter Berry with the bases loaded to give the A’s the victory.

The A’s collected eight hits on the night, while West Allis managed ten hits off of five A’s pitchers in the high-scoring affair.

Ben Folger earned the win for the A’s. He went two innings, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Kanyon Fellers took the loss for West Allis. He tossed one and two-thirds innings, giving up one run, one hit, and striking out four.

Brady Nehring started the game for the Sheboygan A’s. He pitched six innings, allowing five runs, eight hits, striking out seven, and walking one.
