GAME 1: LOMBARD ORIOLES 14, OSHKOSH GIANTS 5
OSHKOSH, WI – The Oshkosh Giants were dealt two tough losses to the Lombard Orioles on Saturday.
In game one the Orioles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by the end of the second inning.
The Orioles scored an additional five runs in the third inning.
The Giants tried to come back in the fifth scoring five runs thanks to a single by Luke Gajewski, Hunter Messerschmidt and a double by Leonardo Gil.
Sam Long took the loss for the Giants throwing four innings, giving up ten runs, eight hits and striking out one.
Miggy Gonzalez earned the win for Lombard pitching four innings, allowing two runs, two hits and striking out four.
Lombard had three home runs in game one two from Dylan Gilberts and one from Tim Lilly.
The final score of game one was Orioles 14 and Giants 5.
GAME 2: LOMBARD ORIOLES 15, OSHKOSH GIANTS 5
OSHKOSH, WI – The Giants took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning.
But, the Orioles brought the heat scoring 14 runs in the second inning.
Hank Shau earned the win for Lombard going four innings, giving up three runs, two hits and striking out four.
Josh Ditter took the loss for Oshkosh going one and two-thirds innings, giving up 14 runs, 11 hits and striking out one.
Final score of game two was Orioles 15, Oshkosh 5.
GAME 1: SHEBOYGAN A’s 4, KENOSHA KINGS 3
SHEBOYGAN, WI – A nail biter till the finish ends in victory for the Sheboygan A’s thanks to a walk off single from Hunter Berry on Saturday.
The Kenosha Kings jumped out to a 3-0 lead after scoring three runs in the first inning.
Nate Anderson and Alex Doud each hit a single, while Jason Dennis hit a double.
The A’s managed to tie the game up and in the bottom of the seventh Hunter Berry singled bringing in the winning run.
Tanner Reklaitis earned the win for the A’s pitching two innings, striking out four and walking one.
Brandon Jeffery took the loss for the Kings allowing two runs and two hits.
The final score of game one was A’s 4, Kings 3.
GAME 2: SHEBOYGAN A’S 11, KENOSHA KINGS 1
SHEBOYGAN, WI – Game two went from bad to worse for the Kings losing 11-1.
The game ended in six innings with the A’s scoring five runs.
Jake Arens, Hunter Berry and Josh Moses each hit a single, while Adam Ryan hit a double.
Taylor Schwarz earned the win for the A’s pitching six innings, giving up one run, two hits and striking out four.
Jeremy Souffer took the loss for the Kings pitching four innings, giving up three runs, five hits and striking out two.
The Lombard Orioles and Sheboygan A’s are now tied for first in the Wisconsin State League after winning both games Saturday.
