Weekend Recap: Nationals Sweep Oshkosh to Get Above .500

The West Allis Nationals swept the Oshkosh Giants Saturday, while the Sheboygan A's took three of four from the Addison Braves during the weekend.
Oshkosh Giants 1, 0, West Allis Nationals 11, 13
The West Allis Nationals had their way with the Oshkosh Giants Saturday afternoon in West Allis, winning a Saturday doubleheader by scores of 11-1 and 13-0. Both games ended by run-rule.
John Keane picked up the win in game one, pitching five complete innings, allowing one run and striking out eight.
Alex Moreland was the victor in game two, striking out 10 in four innings of work.
The Nationals combined to allow no hits during their run-rule victory in game two. Vinnie Pieters pitched the final frame.
Addison Braves 2, 2, 3, 7, Sheboygan A’s 3, 1, 6, 8
The Sheboygan A’s took three of four from the Addison Braves over the weekend at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan.
The A’s took game one 3-2. Game two had to suspend play in the top of the sixth with the bases loaded and no outs due to rains. The game was resumed Sunday before the scheduled doubleheader, in which Addison was able to plate a run in the resumed sixth and hold on for a 2-1 victory.
The A’s then bounced back and took games three and four by scores of 6-3 and 8-7. In game four, the Braves jumped took a 6-1 lead after 3.5 innings, but then the A’s rallied back with a six-run fifth to take a 8-7 lead, which they would hold on to.
