Kings Take Two From Nationals Tuesday

Kenosha Kings lefty Jason Bunton picked up his 500th career WSL strikeout to help the Kings sweep a weeknight doubleheader from the West Allis Nationals Tuesday.

Kenosha Kings lefty Jason Bunton picked up his 500th career WSL strikeout to help the Kings sweep a weeknight doubleheader from the West Allis Nationals Tuesday. In game one, four runs in the fourth inning, lead by singles by Mike Aiello and Aaron Schauer and a double by Ricky Lee, helped the Kings to victory. Bunton was the winning pitcher for Kenosha. He surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Robert Coe took the loss for West Allis. He lasted four innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out four. Kenosha scattered six hits in the game. Aiello and Alex Rodriguez all managed multiple hits for Kenosha. Game two went to extras when the Kings won on a bases-loaded wild pitch. Brandon Jeffery was the winning pitcher for Kenosha. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Austin Emanuel took the loss for West Allis. He allowed two hits and one run, walking one. Johnny Keane started the game for West Allis. He went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out five and walking one, while Kyle Cibrario started the game for Kenosha, allowing eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight.
