The Orioles and A's split a double header, while the Barons sweep the Braves.

Sheboygan A’s 5 – 3 Lombard Orioles, Sheboygan A’s 4 – 7 Lombard Orioles

The Sheboygan A’s struck back in game 1, after going 0-2 the previous day and defeated the Lombard Orioles 5-3 Sunday afternoon. The A’s got out to a five-run lead in the first inning and held it for the victory. The Orioles tried to rally a comeback in the 7th, but were only able to net a single run. Andy Gaytan, Ryan-Lin Peistrup, and Kevin Mampe fueled the rally with RBIs.

Jacob Bonin was the winning pitcher for the A’s. He only surrendered three runs on four hits over six innings, striking out two. Kyle Peterson and Elliot Danhoff entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Danhoff recorded the last out to earn the save for Sheboygan A’s.

The Lombard Orioles fired back in game two though, putting up 7 points, with 3 and 4 runs batted in on the 5th and 6th innings, respectively. The A’s tried to rally back with 2 and 2 in the 6th and 7th, respectively.

Alex Sroka was credited with the victory for Lombard Orioles. He lasted four innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. Mike Dunn and Alex Brown entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Burlington Barons 5 – 4 Addison Braves, Burlington Barons 3 – 0 Addison Braves

It came down to the wire in game one, with the Burlington Barons taking victory on a walk-off error in seventh inning that sealed their victory over Addison Braves. The game was tied at four with the Barons batting in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run for the Barons.

The Barons took an early lead in the first inning. An error scoring them one run. Connor Spear earned the victory on the mound for the Barons. He surrendered four runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.

In game two the Barons defeated the Braves 3-0 as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Alex Berg struck out John Casey to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong for both sides though. The Barons pitchers struck out four, while the Braves pitchers sat down four.

Burlington Barons got things started in the first inning. Mikey Pilizzi singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Kurtis Sippy started the game for the Barons. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, walking one
